It is a sad reality of life that many men will suffer from reduced testosterone levels as they get older, and subsequently it becomes a lot harder to maintain a slim and ripped physique and build muscle mass.
This is why natural testosterone boosters such as Testo Max are so popular, and are included in many bulking and cutting stacks.
Men of a certain age need to enhance their testosterone production to help give them the body that they are looking for, and natural supplements that are free of any harmful side effects are one obvious solution.
However a recent study has found that there is another way to boost testosterone levels, and that’s to start doing a lot more aerobic exercise.
The research team from two Japanese universities compared 16 men of a normal weight to 28 overweight and obese men, with none of them being regular exercisers.
Unsurprisingly it was the overweight men who were found to have lower testosterone levels to begin with.
However, more importantly, after both groups of men were instructed to do 12 weeks of aerobic exercise (40-60 minutes of walking or jogging for 1-3 days per week), it was the overweight group that saw a significant increase in testosterone at the end of this 12-week study.
In addition, the increase was more noticeable in men who did vigorous exercise, which suggests that there is a clear correlation because aerobic exercise and testosterone.
So because many of the overweight group also saw a reduction in body weight, a program of regular aerobic exercise would appear to be hugely beneficial for overweight men in particular.
Therefore if you yourself are struggling to stay in shape as you get older, you might want to consider doing a lot more cardio exercise (running, cycling, swimming, walking, etc) because the positive effects on testosterone, which is a route cause of many problems, have now been proven in a scientific study.
